Who can live at The Renaissance?
Adults whose behavioral, cognitive, developmental, or high-acuity needs make ordinary assisted living difficult, and who do well in a very small, calm, clinician-led setting.
How many residents live there?
Only two. That is deliberate, and it is what lets us hold complexity and give true one-to-one attention.
Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes. We work with the Alaska Medicaid ALI waiver, including the acuity add-on, and we can discuss APDD pathways.
Do you provide 1:1 or 2:1 care?
Yes. We are staffed and structured for dedicated one-to-one and two-to-one support, awake around the clock, when a resident needs it.
Do you accept dementia residents?
Yes, including dementia accompanied by mood or behavioral complexity, met with structure and clinical understanding.
Do you accept behavioral-health placements?
Yes. Complex behavioral placements are a core part of what we are built for.
Do you accept residents coming from a hospital or API?
Yes. Discharges from hospital or psychiatric care that have nowhere appropriate to go are exactly what we are designed for.
What happens if someone has behavioral challenges?
Because we are clinician-led with only two residents, we can adapt the plan in real time and provide the level of support the person needs.
What does admission involve?
A conversation, a clinical and placement review, an assessment, funding and authorization, care planning, and move-in. See our Admissions page for detail.
How quickly can a referral be reviewed?
Quickly. Our clinicians aim to review fit and safety within the same week, so professionals are not left waiting on a bed.
What does it cost, and do you accept private pay?
We accept private pay with clear terms, and we are competitively priced for a clinician-led home. Please call for current rates.
